Golden Boy fish sauce is the Grade A fish sauce made by Tang Heab Seng. It is a pure sauce with a strong aroma, flavor, and smell. The fish sauce liquid is clear and reddish brown and made from only one type of anchovy. The biological name of this anchovy fish is Engraulidae or Stolephorus. The Cooks Yim brand fish sauce is Grade B sauce which is lighter in color but still carries the same delicious aromas and flavor, but is not as strong or robust, making it more suitable in certain recipes. Both fish sauces have a 2 year shelf life.
